Throw the T-Case drop away or sell it and buy a Slip Yoke Eliminator that's what I did. But I have not ran that kit before, and you'll also need to upgrade your steering

Im debating whether I should save up a bit more, and do everything at once, or find a more complete kit that fits my budget.
thank you for your advice,
Will I need the SYE right away?
And Do you mean a adjustable track bar? Or a over the knuckle steering upgrade?

I know people say throw away the T/C drop kit, but I am installing the IRO 5.5 critical path kit right now on my ZJ and the T/C drop kit is built into the 3-piece subframe. There are different holes you can use to not drop it, or two more levels of height to drop it. ....just a FYI

You might not need to use a SYE right away but it's way better. And yes an adjustable track bar with OTK steering preferably a double shear track bar. I've heard great things about those kind I'm gonna get one myself and OTK steering. But not sure I posted a question about it just to make sure I'm doing stuff right.

Have you checked out the Rocky Road Outfitters High Steer kit, Ive heard a lot of bad reviews about their customer service, but the price for their kit seem almost unbeatable.
Right now I have a strict budget of $1600 for a lift kit, and everything to at least get me started, its just a big debate of if I want to do it right the first time with everything I want or go a different route, like a OME lift kit or RE both of those kits come with the adjustable track bar, just curious

Only other thing you need to get it drivable is an adjustable track bar. IROs double sheer TB is a good choice. HD crossover steering is a nice upgrades but not mandatory to get you going. A TC drop is a short term fix so if you have the cash get a sye.
Most of the guys who run that like it. check around for some reviews.

Thanks man, I just looked on IRO website again and just noticed that the 5.5in lift would be a lot better of a deal than the 4 in because it comes with a lot more stuff to it including a adjustable track bar, would a SYE become a need with that much lift?

Like Xjmike said a T-case drop is a short term fix but yes defiantly get a SYE and an extended rear CV driveshaft. Because when you go high you're angle increases upwards and then your U-Joints will sound like there's rocks rolling around in your shaft it's a freaky sound haha.

i would get the iro hack & tap & cv driveshaft type sye for either size lift, if i was doing it. def. gonna need a adj. trk. bar. bump stops too , unless its a pavement pounder.if the tire size goes bigger then 31's plan on a regear in the future .

I wouldn't get the hack n tap SYE, a buddy ran that and said he still had small vibes, I mean if your cool with the vibes than by all means get it. But I would just get the full deal it's better in the long run in my opinion

Cool, thanks guys, Ive been researching it all for a week now and figured Id ask the questions and you all are more than helpful.
IRO says on thier site that you can use the SYE with a custom CV Driveshaft or the front driveshaft of a cherokee.
And I just did the math with shipping and for the 5.5" lift and a full SYE itd be right in budget.
Its my DD but I wont have it be a pavement princess Itll get some good beatin on the trail in the future

Seeing as this kit already has some adjustability for caster I think the extra 100 would be better spent on other things.
