Default Lift Help

This is my second post, first one is in the "All Lift...." post already.
I am trying to get as much feedback as possible and need your help.

I am ready to pull the trigger on a lift, hung up deciding between these two:

1. Iron Rock Off Road 5.5" Short arm (with shocks) kit: http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch...egory_Code=PFX

2. Rubicon Express 5.5" Short arm (w/o shocks) kit: http://rubiconexpress.com/Suspension...px?part=RE6200
(I would buy it from DPG: http://dpgoffroad.com/products/5-inc...hybrid-xj-kit/)

Need genuine pros, cons, loves and hates.
I will be ordering a driveshaft and SYE, also gearing, axles and lockers.

Please please, please please please HELP. I have been searching/researching for what seems like forever and need help. I am search overloaded.

RE is opening back up, they got scooped up by 4wheel parts.
To answer your question, reliability, not to open a wound that wont close.....

I have been happy with both company's. Iro/re. If you are set in 5.5" short arm I don't think one would be much better/different then the other. It would be a good thing to go LA now.

Both of those kits don't have adjustable arms. The RE has drop brackets, the IRO does not. That's the only real difference I see.

I am a bit nervouse about company's that change ownership... quality could change drasticly... but I don't know the details. IRO would be my choice if it where these 2 only...

Whats the benefit to the long arm kit? What do I gain/lose?

Ride quality is a lot better with LA, flex is better too. But its mostly ride. Drop brackets help too. But can get in the way if you plan to wheel it.

I play rough so I need something that's going to hold up. I want to run 33's which is why I settled on the 5.5" kit. $100 difference for the 6.5" long arm with IRO...do they hang lower or get caught up when cresting obstacles?

Not saying LA is needed for you. But I would look into them before you buy a kit. Tons of threads about it, but it all come down to weather irs worth the $ to you. I love my LA's. Its also somthing you could do later. but that's more money lol....

How much is the RE lift. Couldn't find a price...

I am just about 5-5.5" lift. I had to cut to allow flex offroad, I still rub a tiny bit fully flexed off road on my bushwackers. They do hang a little lower at the mounts. I only hit the mount once and I just scratched it. But I was pushed far over and the tire was as high as it could go. But I didn't hang up on it. I have gone over some huge ledges and not touched them. 5-6' nearly vertical. Some pics in my build thread. But look into LA's. And if you get short arms get adjustable arms to set pinion angle and caster. Both brands listed are good. Clayton offroad is a great brand to look into aswell. Frankz a vender on here is known for good stuff too, but I have no experience with it but I am sure some one can chime in.

DPG is selling a hybrid of the 6200 kit (nets 5") for $1200 no shocks.
4x4 group buy has the 6200 kit with AA SYE and woods shaft $1550ish.

IRO 5.5" $1350 AA SYE (from PORC) $165 Woody shaft $300 = $1805
4x4GB 5.5" RE with SYE/shaft $1550 + shocks ($320 - $420 bilsteins @ shockwarehouse.com) = $1820 - $1970
DPG 5" kit $1200 + shocks ($320 - $420) + SYE/shaft $465 = $1985 - $2085
