1989 XJ Pioneer 4.0 auto 4WD 78,xxx

My XJ is running fairly decent now. I have a few exhaust leaks but I'm fixing them today. Going to clean my throttle body also along with a few other tweaks.

Any way I'm wanting to do a 2" lift on my XJ. I was going to do the s10 leaf springs.

I was going to do the leaf springs before I buy the coil spacers that way if the leaf springs lift it 2.25" I'll get that coil spacer or if it lifts it 1.75" I'll get those. I want it as even as possible. Does this sound like thinking ahead or just thinking too much? Haha

Now do I need 2wd or 4wd s10 springs or either? Which springs do I need from the s10 pack for 2" lift? I found I can get them cheaper if I don't get a whole pack.

 

If you have an 1989 Pioneer with 78,000 mi on it a 4.0 and 4wd and really want a lift I would save my money and do a quality one on it. For now just fix all the little things to bring it back to basic stock condition on all worn out items. That's a very low mileage one and if in good shape a lot of people would like to have one, myself included.
