I wouldn't bother, but it's your rig.
I'm not really sure what good they would do. The way I understand it, these are designed to be helper springs for trucks when carrying a heavy load. Basically, when you have a bed full of crap or a trailer attached, these inflate to level the rear of the truck. They may work, just not sure exactly...

I am just wondering what to do to help my rear since I will eventually pull around 800 to 1k of weight in the back.

I was originally thinking you wanted to use these in place of lift springs... which would be a bad idea.

Those firestone bags may be the way to go then. If you're going to be carrying a lot of extra weight around, they would help if you can get them installed on there. Just dont know how to do it myself. I know they work well in trucks. I was originally thinking you wanted to use these in place of lift springs... which would be a bad idea.
No I just want to fix the sag. I was going to do a basterd pack

Just install the proper set of good quality leaf springs and be done with it, either lift or just HD OEM's like from Dorman. I carry a lot of weight in my cargo area all the time and add more at times to the roof carrier. I have a very heavy rear swing out tire carrier bumper with receiver hitch.
Even with everything loaded down I have less than a 1/2" of sag and that's only when I have extras on the roof. Leaf springs are cheap and you will know the job is done right. You could go to a spring shop if you have one close to you and have a set built for your XJ's needs.
