Same setup in the 97+. Once they changed the mount in 95 they kept it till 01. The front of the seat rails bolt to the bracket added. The rear of the tracks still bolt to the floor.

Thanks for the info.
I have to repair the RH floor panel. The carpet will be changed as well.
I'm definitely looking into adding those braces. It would seem to open up more options if configured with them.
I guess I will have to trim the lower plastic too.
Is the anyway that you can send me more detailed pictures on what you used for this swap. I like the bracket you used and how you fabricated it up and I also have a two door with the exact same seats. I’m about to swap them and I came across this and have been starstruck.

It was pretty simple to fabricate really. Here ae pics of the bottom. You will need a piano hinge and some flat iron. Also a toggle latch. Not pictured is two pieces of steel the rear of the new frame rests on instead of the carpet
Pretty sure these are 2001 WJ seats. I put them into a 2000 XJ, the passenger side is the WJ electric base the driver side is still the XJ manual base. As you can see the WJ brackets don't bolt straight into the XJ floor pan so I cut the old brackets off of the WJ rails and then used the XJ brackets cut off the XJ rails welded together. It requires a lot of cutting grinding and welding, but works if you don't have an XJ electric base. Compared to the stock seats these are night and day when it comes to comfortability and if you want to keep the manual xj bases you can. Also on 4 doors the stock XJ bases make the plastic panel on the side of the seat rub/hit on the lower trim panel at full rearward extension

I kinda did something like that.
I noticed that a TJ hinge with the little lever to lean the seat forward looked a real lot like a XJ one.
Found a cheap one on Ebay to play with and tried it out.
I just did it on the passenger side. Lets me lean the seat forward a little more in case I want to put something longer in the Jeep.
And am to lazy to strap it to the roof. LOL.
so does the tj bracket bolt right up to the xj seats? you you have to cut the lean forward handle into the material of the xj seat?

Did bolt right up.
Yes I did have to go through the seat material.
But I guess I could have left it like you see in the pictures if I wanted too.
But the little plastic piece on the lever comes off so I just had to poke a very small hole for it to fit through.
I ended up doing the prp daily driver on the xj 89 rocker base.
The rocker base is freaking awesome. I now look for them at junk yards. It makes a non reclining seat like the prp a finely tunable seat.
I love every about the daily driver except for price, materials and color i chose.
was hoing for the carhart brown look with a material i could rinse mud off.
this seat takes alittle finesse to get in and out of when your pants and shirt are soaked with sweat.
Id go with the apple seats pair cost what this one prp cost. They share mounting platform so i may by the pair and run get a passenger seat and matching driver.
I was able raise seat about 1.5" higher than factory. This made a huge improvement for me. You may notice it cant be mounted much lower. Cut rocker paddle to clear. Rocker functions and seat slides like it should.
