Default leaf spring pack will not come out

im doin a lift on my jeep and im doin the rear now. im havin trouble removin the leaf springs, they dont want to budge. i already have the front and rear bolts out but it still seems like theres tension on the springs to where i cant remove them.... somone please help

is the axel still hooked to the springs? Pry the eyes out of the shackles then out of the front pockets.

i have all the u bolts out. soo both sides are disconnected from the axel but there still acting like there connected

now i have another fantastic question. what do you do when the upper bolts for the rear shocks snap and break off into the unibody.

Grab a punch and hammer, and knock those weld nuts out, then fish new bolts through the top with fishing line or thin wire. If you have air tools, an air chisel knocked mine out in about 5 seconds.

fish them through were? and how are you gonna hold them in place to tighten them.

You have stands under the jeep on the unibody and have some on the axle with it it dropped a bit right?

how can you hold the upper rear shock bolts in place? i already took a air chisel and knocked them out but now idk how to hold the nuts in place to tighten them

Just did this with my shocks when I put my lift in about a week ago...I used a lock washer and didnt have to hold the bolt...tighten pretty easily.

I finally ended up cutting the bolts through the shackle with a grinder... (IRO sent me new ones anyways)... those two bolts took me a looong time to get out lol
