Default lca joint question

Name: adjlca2.jpg
Views: 161
Size: 34.7 KB

im wanting to run adj lca's on my 00, and i dd it and wheel on weekends. I have read up and it seems most recommend a johnny joint / stock bushing combo to provide a good compromise of off road capability and good road manners.

Any input on this, I am considering those from IRO, which look like a jj on one end and the bushing on the other...any reccomendations?

Thanks!!

edit, im blind as a bat, that looks like a bushing on both ends...correct me if im wrong

iros arms have rubber bushings on both sides. if you want a good combo go to rubicon express superflex arms. theyve got a good rep and have a flex joint on one end and an oem style bushing on the other.

might be a dumb question, but, could i thread in a jj on the end and replace the bushing?

i appreciate the input man!

I just didnt think RE made a bent, adjustable, superflex lca. I would like that bend for more clearance before binding...i have already removed a bit from the coil perch for a little more downtravel, trying to stay at 3 inches and get more downtravel.

ironman 4x4 makes one, but its out of my college kid price range

IRO's got some great stuff and wouldn't hesitate to run theyre arms. i think rustys might have a flex joint LCA with the bend

bam, counter offer haha

thanks again, these look pretty similar to the rocky road ones, both have a lesser amount of "adjustability" than the higher end ones, but i think they will suite my application fine. Guess if i ever decide to fab up medium length arms, ill have something to part from too

i dont see how much i'd gain with only 3 inches of lift though. I have the fab skills to make the cross member and everything, but I think it would be beyond overkill.

...unless youre selling some at a price i cant refuse

so i finally finished up my front tube flares, and now i can concentrate on other things to get it all ready for trail season

These are the LCA's i think i will be going with. I have read countless reviews on how they are the best of both worlds, was wondering if anyone knew anything about the longevity of these bushings.
