Unhappy Kenwood Send Service Error

My Radio has not been working since I bought the car, so I wanted to try fixing it. Took the doors off and noticed that one speaker was missing, and the other one was the original old speaker. I replaced both speakers with new ones, and the rear speakers are the same. After installing the new speakers, I reset the reciever and tried again. I still get the "PROTECTING---SEND SERVICE" message. I do want to add that I just removed the headliner so there are several open connections but I'm not sure if they are related to the audio circuit. The center console on the roof is disconnected, the two wires leading to the sun visors are also disconnected. Would these have anything to do with it? If anyone knows what the common issues could be with this please let me know. I'll send pictures later if it helps. The model for the stereo/receiver is a Kenwood KMM-515HD. Thanks in advance for any help.

This error means that the radio has been overloaded (either due to the amplifier putting out higher wattage than what it's supposed to, OR an open circuit somewhere in the audio system OR electrical wiring), and has put itself into 'Protect Mode' to protect any components inside of it (or your speakers) from further damage. If you look up the owner's manual for your particular radio (Kenwood usually prints the model number of its radios on the front of the faceplate), it should tell you how to reset the radio to get it out of 'Protect Mode'. You'll also want to check the wiring behind the radio, and that no wires are touching the chassis of the radio, or the metal in the doors. There's also a fuse (I think it's either 10A or 15A?) in the back of the radio that you should check to see if it's blown or not, and replace it if it is, but make sure everything else is good first before trying to do so, or you might blow it again. Hope this helps, or is at least a good place to start.
