I'm not sure if this has been covered or not but i couldnt find anything on it. I recently purchased new front speakers and put them in. Right after I put them in I tested the whole system everything worked fine. 3 hours later I start the jeep to head for a football game absolutely no sound through all my speakers. My amp and subs work fine so all I get is solid bass. Any ideas on what happened or what I did wrong?? Please Help... If it means anything its 1995 XJ Sport

It sounds like you have a speaker ground issue, perhaps you pinched a wire while installing them or your wire at your speakers are touching each other. When your speaker wires touch metal or each other they will ground out. It is surprising that both speakers are having issues. I would also recheck your connections at the head unit. Make sure you use could connectors and not just twist and tape them.

I finally figured out that the original wiring was bad and I had to rewire every speaker sucked ***
