RE goes out of business, got my refund from one place after the news came out, cant find any RE6025 kits on the web now!

Typically I'd be willing to wait but I put the cart before the horse and bought 4 - 16 moabs with new tires (31's) for $375 and threw the suckers on there immediately. This is my daily driver and the rubbing and bottoming out is horrible... i need to do something and it doesn't include waiting to see if RE comes back in business.

I don't want a rough road ride but also require something that cant truly perform in rough terrain. OME seems to be the clear choice at this point but my god, I thought RE was expensive!

As of now i have 4 - 2009 Rubicon OEM Shocks (the red ones) which I was told would be perfect for the RE 3.5 kit and a IRO track bar. After this, I need everything else that will make my Jeep ride comfortable.

I know I want full leaf packs and i know I want 3-4 inchs of lift to accommodate my 31s

Can I get some feedback on 3-4 lifts that are said to be the most comfortable and reliable aside form OME and RE? Any other advice would also appreciated. This is a 2000 XJ and my budget is around $600-700

Thanks - KG

start cutting. whats a cut off wheel cost these days maybe $10 for a good one.

for the money to just clear 31s go with the Zone 3in kit like $300 for a 3in lift with shocks and coils with an add a leaf. cheap easy and good parts Zone is owned by BDS

Thanks for the advice man! I gotta be honest this sounds like it would'nt be equal to or better than the OEM ride quality, which is what i'm looking for in a daily driver. If at all possible, i'm looking for a kit that will be installed and left alone. Am I wrong in reading that AAL's sag after about a year and are very stiff rides? I do like the idea of cutting though, will handle the rub right away.

if i were building a rig from the ground up again. Long arms a forget it yes its $2000 but your done in one shot most of the time. but I like cutting the best keeps the rig low yet clears bigger tires. just follow the body line up front and in the rear pie cut the pinch seam and pound in with a hammer instant 2inchs more in the wheel well

Most any lift spring pack will ride rougher than stock. The only way I could see maintaining most of the OEM ride is retaining the OEM springs/leafs. Which would mean a coil spacer in front, and a set of shackles in the rear.

Rusty's sells a nice kit, the $438 3" springpack kit actually comes with their 3.5" leafs. You can use their shocks that come with it, or upgrade to the blisteins for another $400. You can add the .75" spacers to level it out as well, because the leafs last and wont settle to 3" exactly.

Good luck, it's what I am ordering.

I was actually just looking at Rusty's - appears to be in the sweet spot for cost and full leaf packs. Thanks.

There is some tough Rustys critics out there.... IRO seems to be some solid ****, its probably going to be around 700-800 when its all said and done though - you have to pay an extra $265 above the 3 inch kit price to get full leaf packs. If i don't go with this, I might try and afford the 2 inch OME kit.

I dont have access to tools, jack, lifts and the individual skills to tinker with my XJ after I get this done - so i gotta get it right the first time around

I really like the iron rock 4 inch kit, which should put you about where the re 3.5 would put you. You also can go for long arms from them down the road or now to save some cash in the long run.
