I have purchased G. Cherokee Moog Tie Rod and new Tie Rod ends as an upgrade for my XJ. I read about a way to use Goefirit insert so that I can flip my Tie Rod over the knuckle. Is it a worthy upgrade?
I also want to cut heat vents into my hood. Do I need to treat my electronics? Thanks

Over The Knuckle steering is a good upgrade however, i have no idea what you are talking about.
Most people do not treat the wiring under the hood after adding hood vents. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and seal any plugs directly below the vent though!

I was reading different posts on this subject a few guys talked about coating their electronics with a product designed to protect your electronics. I cant remember what it was called....I need to get the excess heat out of the engine compartment and thought that venting is a good option and looks cool. As my profile states newbie. Any input is great. Thanks

Your local boat supply store should be able to help you with something like that. I've also heard to use WD-40 as it's water resistant but not water-proof! So for short periods of time when you know its going to get wet under the hood--
