Anybody got any experience a stage 1 or 2 on a 4.0 other than reading the description? Kinda figuring they're not worth it. But if they do anything I might try one. Stage 2 is pretty much out cause I'm against having to run 91 all the time. Thanks

It's probably as good as it is going to get.

Both excellent ideas! I installed 4 hole Injectors gave me a smoother idle and throttle response along with a bored TB, full tune-up, wires and cleaned all sensors.

The only programming kit I ever installed that worked was on a Power Stroke and that was after I removed the Cat and muffler on it as per the directions. The tune was for towing and MPG increase both of which improved a bit. Usually the only ones you hear of that work are for diesels and the better ones are all over $500, don't know if they give that kind of a return or not.

Even if the chip worked as well as a high end one, it wouldn't do anything to the XJ. Mods are all about percentage gains, and we have such low power to begin with that it doesn't really help. What I mean by that is a chip on a 200 HP engine won't do nearly as much as a chip on a 500 HP engine.

Experience with a jet tuner, no. Experience with moving the cps over, yes. Heat gun, hammer, vice, 11mm socket, and some extensions, Carney hands. If you have these things it's a "free" mod.
