Installing a New Stereo. As of today i only have the stereo and don't know if i need a wiring harness and a dash installation kit.
Does the 01 XJ come with a wiring harness already?
If i do need a wiring harness and a dash installation kit, will anyone be kind enough to search up these parts for me? I'm a noob with car audio. Thanks and cheers!

 

go to walmart, walk to stereo section, get the parts that fit your jeep...

after that, go over to the automotive electrical section and buy some butt connectors, crimpers, and heak shrink...

go to register, pay, go to jeep and install your cd player

 

My 98 needed a wiring harness. I went down to a local offroad shop that deals with audio as well. Told them what I needed and he knew it all. The wiring harness I got was for a 97-01 and the install kit I got was for many different Chrysler models. All worked fairly well. I do not have part # available but I can tell you the brand and maybe come up with some part numbers if you have a minute.

FCJ2076 is the actual dash kit

CR01B or CR01BCB are the wireing adaptors according to Scosche's website
