Need opinions on Detroit no slip 187c145 manners
I'm wanting to build a 8.8 for my XJ and wanting to know how the streets need are going to be on this thing? It will not be my daily driver but it will be driven on the street a little. Can anyone give me your opinions on how this will be. I currently have a trutrac in the front. Thanks guys

I've never seen the point of a trutrac. why not just rebuild a factory LSD if youre going to be running limited? anyway it'll probably feel like driving an open axle you shouldnt feel it. get a real locker

I'm not wanting to run a trutrac. I'm wanting to run a real locker. That's what I'm asking how the manners of the locker will be on the street. I'm not daily driving it but will be used some. How will it be?

I run a detroit auto locker rear. my tires dont even chirp because it unlocks around turns. and with the automatic, the forceful unloading when it unlocks isn't very noticeable. it's like running an open diff rear it's a really nice locker. if I was going to buy a new auto locker it would be a yukon grizzly

I've run them and they work great. Only issue I have is if you break a shaft you have to replace half the internals in the locker too.
