Not to jack just interested in the same. I also removed all my ac replaced mech and electric fan with 2 new electric fans. At highway speeds I never need a fan anymore with ac condensor removed. I'm running at around 160 degrees at highway speeds. Ik this might hurt mpg a little but what are the other risks

I'll take a closer look though, you can never be too careful trying to keep your head on your shoulders.
Not saying that it's going to happen, but under the right circumstances it would be more likely. You're relying on those four bolts that are spaced out to keep that hood in place an not allowing the firewall to take the load.

Side note: Freak stuff can happen you would never expect. When my dad was in the State Police he came on an accident where the chrome trip piece that ran across the top of the hood (some older car, this was like 25 years ago) came loose and whipped around and completely decapitated the driver. I would just hate to see someone's hood come through the windshield.

Running too cool won't allow the components to warm up fully and tolerances can be too out of whack. Kind of like why you don't rev the **** out of the engine when you first start it in the morning.
