I got some 1998 Jeep cherokee seats that are like brand new. Can I get them to fit in my 1992 cherokee by changing the seat brackets? I was told by a few people I could. Does anybody have any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

Theres a good write up in here about swapping seats. May be of help even though its GC seats into an XJ. There may be a good chance you can take the seats off the brackets and swap the seats if the bolt holes line up under the seat. then just put your cherokee bracket back in with new seat attached and bolt to the floor. you'll more than likely just have to take your seats out and flip them over next to the new seats and look at the bolts that attach the bottom of the seat to the bracket. Under seat bolts line up? Your good to go. No need to worry about the bracket cuz you can use the one already in your jeep.
