So I'm riding in the car and brainstorming (wife is driving) and I get an idea.
What if I pipe a short-ram intake for the xj using a shop vac T-nozzle attachment around the back of the drivers headlight vertical alongside the radiator, similar to the setup in a c5/6 corvette? I might play with the idea.
Looking at these vacuum ends, I would think your going to restrict that airflow alot... but at the same time, the factory opening is pretty small too. If you have the resources, I would say some custom designed sheet metal could create a better baffle/airdam to scoop intake air, than a little hose attachment.
I would bring it around and thru the drivers window to the interior. Then with the A/C at full tilt, connect the hose to the exhaust side of the shop vacuum and plug the vacuum in using a Harbor Freight inverter to the cigarette lighter. And then turn on the vacuum. It will suck in the cold A/C air, filter it, pressurize it and then 'Send It' to the air box.

Is that the proper use of 'Send It'?
Friend of mine used 'send it' yesterday...had to ask him what they heck the meant since he was talking about finding the correct pinion yoke for his rear driveshaft.
Told him 'I'd run it' would be much easier to understand.
