Hey guys ive been doin some research on stroking the 4.0
everyone is saying if you use the crank and rods from a 258 in a 4.0 you end up with a 4.6. I found myself a parts 258 for $50 bucks on craigslist. i want to make the motor as simple as possible so im going carbed. Do they make a carbed 4.0 intake? or can i use a 258 intake on the 4.0. I need some help pleeaaasseeeeee!!!
thanks -ray

if you go a little further you will need adjustible fuel pressure regulator and map sensor. still not a big deal. and not that pricey. i wouldnt wanna give up injection for a carb

Ive been looking more and more and im on the fence between carb and injection. i saw a article where the guy used ford 24# injectors and went that way. so im still unshure what way to go. i want reliable but not a hugeeee money hole. i can pick up an intake and carb for 100 bucks but if i leave injection wise i already have the set up. its a turn-key 4.0. Im stuck!!!!
