Default Jcr steering

I pick up a HP Dana 30 with 4.56s and jcr steering. The drag link is about 8 inches to long and the knuckles are reamed utk I want to do otk. Can I team them out fr the top or would that just make the hole to big or should I just drill it out and run a different style or hiem joint? Thanks

Well, think about it. In reaming them out from the top, you are taking the small side (top now) and making it the big side of the taper. That would work. But the big side now (bottom) you want to be the small end, which will not work. Best bet is to drill them out straight through and use some tapered inserts welded in. That should work. Or you could drill them out straight and use a heim. Or you could swap your current knuckles onto the new d30 and drill/ream them from the top like you want to.

They have inserts that you can put in the bottom of the knuckle so that its a good taper from the top
