JCR offroad hitch nut strips
Anyone using the jcr nut strips? I'm thinking about buying some and couldn't find any reviews of people with them on here so I figured I'd start a new thread.

But aren't the FST ones missing the bend in them? and how were the jcr offroad ones when you had them?

My JCR nutstrips just came in today.. They seem pretty reasonable, came with grade 5 hardware. The FST's seem a little more meaty and come with grade 8 hardware, but I can't say anything negative about the JCR's, as of yet. The welds look solid, the pieces are cut/bent accurately.... Not much more you can expect out of a nutstrip. Also, the FST nutstrip doesn't have a bend in the middle. I can't comment on the importance/ lack thereof yet, a bit of searching can probably help you with this.

ya that's what I thought about the bend. I'll probably just go with jcr. I mean they should still be better than stock and I don't have a welder so either way they seem to be a good option

I have the jcr nutstrips. There real beefy. 3/16 I believe. I used them to install my hitch. Same price as if I bought factory ones and way stronger. Factory strips are like 1/16 tin. . I use my hitch as a recovery point and wanted the extra beef to not bend the unibody. Tightend down tight the strips and hitch sandwich the uni about 14 in long. Factory is same length but because there so thin there's no sandwich effect. I got my hitch from a buddy that was going to use it on his, he went to install it and saw someone had a hitch there before and must have had factory strips and actually pulled the nuts through the frame. He was so pissed when he saw that.

I bought some not too long ago. Not fully installed yet. Plenty beefy and seem to fit fine except I had to cut out the access hole a little more to get them in (which was no big deal because one side was done already to get old stock nuts trips out).

I didn't like my jcr strips, as they didn't line up at all and the holes were to small to fit a bolt through to start to thread into the nut. And one nut was welded on crooked so I had to knock it off and weld a new one on. I took them out after I got a new bumper that had way better inserts to connect my skid to.

I got the JCR because it seems like most of them will come out good. And I didn't want OEM ones because that's what I have now and they bent when I was taking off the hitch
