Installed mine 8 months ago and haven't had any problems. I would expect a u joint to fail before the output shaft .

To clarify my statement:

There is a chance that if something goes wrong internally in the t ase the SYE could be damaged.

Less likely with the HnT.

Take a look at Adamsdriveshaft package.

dude, they work great. Take your time with the install. tapping the hole. go slow, use lots of oil and please make sure you are in the center of the shaft.

I recommend cuting the shaft while you have the jeep in reverse, this will produce a lath effect and leave you with a little nipple in the dead center of the shaft.

Good luck, let us know if you need anything else.

regular sye kit is about 2x more money than a hack n tap by the time you get a driveshaft. Plus I like the fact that the iro hack n tap utilizes a stock front shaft in case of a failure and a guy had to swap the front shaft to the rear, or pick them up at the wrecker as spares for next to nothing.

I like the idea of being able to carry 1 driveshaft to work for both or swapping front to rear if needed!!

adams SYE and drive shaft kit is $375. it's worth it to me. I'm on a tight budget like everyone else but there's some places on a rig that deserve a little extra spending.
