I have installed an Iron Rock Offroad adjustable track bar on my XJ. Problem I'm running into is that the drop bracket for the double sheer mount is hitting the coil spring perch on my axle. Axle is centered to within a 1/16". To anyone that has installed this track bar how close is it to your spring perch. At ride height mine is only has about an inch clearance. I ordered the 1-5" track bar and my Jeep is lifted 2". Is it possible that they sent me the wrong one?

I would call them. Always have been easy to work with. Just don't email them, never had any luck with that

Yeah I had already emailed them once and I asked about if they ever had heard of the problem, which they hadn't, and if they would recommend trimming the spring perch, which is what he said he would do.

no problems here, but I'm at 4.5". I'm using their double shear end on a Rusty's adjustable track bar; they have the same M22 threading. Even at full tuck, mine doesn't hit.

So are you using the 1-5" version or the other one that's like 3-7" or whatever it was? Could you give me a measurement, like from the frame to the bottom of the bracket?

I'm using THIS Rusty's track bar, listed at 2.75"-5" with the IRO double shear end on it. I can get you a measurement but from where to where exactly?

I understand that. You're using the frame side bracket from IRO, correct? It looks just like mine. Do you know which frame bracket you are using? I would think the difference in the kits is the frame side bracket. A longer bracket for a bigger lift. If you could, measure from the bottom of the frame to the very bottom of the bracket where the track bar bolts to. I would appreciate it. I'll go outside and take a pic of mine to show how close it is at ride height.

yeah, everything on that end is IRO. I bought just the end as a kit so I'm not sure if they make different length ones; THIS. I'm going to say they're likely all the same b/c I spoke with the guys up there before I bought it and he said that the assembly is approximately 3/4" lower hanging than the standard setup. He never mentioned there being two bracket sizes. I measured mine from the frame bottom to the very bottom (tip of the radius, not the bolt center) and got ~6.5"

Edit: ya, its definitely closer but again you're lower than I am, so I guess that makes sense. Are you SURE the axle is centered? The coil in the first picture seems to suggest the axle is shifted a tad towards the passenger side. Might just be the picture though. What's actually hitting?

ive got no issues either and my axle is pushed forward a couple inches making it even more likely to hit.

can you grab a picture of the paint rub off where it is hitting?

To the best of my ability the axle is within a 1/16". I don't think it'll get closer than that. I am measuring from just above the lift spacers on the body to the center line of the tire and I also checked with measuring just above the rivet that is between the coil and shock and got within a 1/16" both ways. The outside of the bracket is rubbing on the front corner of the axle spring cup. I'll grab another pic here in a minute when we get done working on this boat.

if its just BARELY touching the spring pad, which is what it looks like, just shift the axle over a little so it doesnt hit. Its pretty hard IMO to tell if its 1/4" to one side or the other. I think mines off by 1/2"+ but cant tell at all, from the ride or otherwise

Here's the contact marks. It's makes a pretty loud bang when it hits. If there's nothing out of whack I will just trim the corner of the pad off. It just concerns me that they never heard of this problem.

honestly with a 2" BB i would check and make sure its still sitting at 2" that could really easily be caused by saggy coils.
