Default IRO trackbar

Just wanted to post info about the double shear trackbar with bracket from IRO. Good reviews everywhere I have read and now they have another satisfied costumer. I installed it yesterday. It helped greatly with bumpsteer I was experiencing. Actually I never realized how much of the negative handling characteristics were trackbar related. My Jeep is lifted 4.5 inches exactly so I got the one for the 3.5-7in. Fits perfectly, No clereance issues, clears the pumpkin and everything else 100%. Also I have the stock pitman arm and have no death wobble at all if anyone is interested if it works with the stocker. 100% satisfied.

agreed I installed mine a couple weeks ago, replacing the Rough Country unit that was on it. Rough country is a joke when compared side by side with this thing it is massive. Haven't got to try it off road yet but really like it so far.

I have the IRO double shear trackbar too, beefy, but for some reason, i cannot get the bolts to stay tight. After like a week they loosen. I have to check and see if it wallowed out the holes.

I may attempt double nutting to stop them from vibrating loose.

I dont like how it uses stock sized bolts.

a chain is only as strong as its weakest link...

The bolts I took out of the stock one were smaller. I tried to use the stock nut because it had a bracket thing on it to make it stop spinning but the nut was way smaller for the new bolt.

Conical-top lock nut; do it. I have the double shear on my 4.5" lifted '97. It's a nice piece, and the "frame" side bracket holds nicely. I drilled out the bushing sleeve on my axle side and up'ed the bolt size for a tighter fit.

ive always been a fan of the rock krawler unit.

clayton makes good stuff too.

Rubicon express is a nice unit with the 1/2" bolt upgrade , and they even sell a bracket to work with their drop bracket to tie it into the other side frame rail.
