I'm also guessing that with these installed with roughly a 40-50 degree shackle angle. This would take some arch out of the leafs?
depends on your shackle length. 3/4" minimum with stock shackles. A little more with extended shackles.

I did leave that out. I had in mind the JKS shackle which claims for 3/4" of additional lift over stock. But let's assume I'm using OEM shackle.

Well now I have to explain why I'm laughing at 1 in the morning.

Anyways.

I've been watching threads like these for a while as I wait to bump up from a 2"BB to a total of 5" by next spring. I have built up a pile of stuff to bolt on when I'm 'ready' - in the meantime I have been really pondering my rear end.

I'm part way thru a home brew relocation project and am stuck on bolt vs plate and weld in. It's not like I expect to be dealing it as a trade in at any point in time and the body's not a virgin any more.

the way it's designed you don't HAVE to - it can mount over the hitch/skid plate if you so choose. The slot in the side allows about 1" of adjustment down. I chose to mount it tight to the uniframe to gain the extra 1/4" or so of clearance, and because I wanted to minimize the amount of lift I gained from the brackets.

I like these bracket's design better than the RC ones, i think it allows more adjustability.
