Well, I wouldn't tell someone to secure it improperly
Ok, I'm glad you have your tire up there. What's not to say that you get in an accident and the tire flies off the roof and hits someone else? How safe is that? I don't want my tire up there for a few reasons. 1. the one I just stated. 2. I don't like the way it looks. 3. It makes the Jeep top heavy and makes tipping easier to achieve during off camber situations 4. I have no problem with cargo space. I don't carry lots of junk in my jeep needing immense cargo space. 5. I don't want the tire in the elements not being used and having the rim sit up there and rust and have it drip rust all over my roof.
Like I said, it's for those who don't have the $$ for a rack or tire bumper. And for those guys who possibly can't lift a big a$$ heavy tire on and off the roof.

Ok, you keep it on your rack when you're wheeling? Where do you keep it while just driving around? In your pocket?

It's called joking around man. Take a chill pill and have a sense of humor. Life is too short not to laugh.

Got some good ideas out of here, have to post pics soon... But i love the look of the guy (or gal, to be politically correct) who had all the wood stuff mounted and a TV... That was just awesome.

and XJ88, real quick question for ya... if you don't mind a slight hijack for a sec... Where is your hazard lights switch? my 88 doesn't have one, and I believe she may have been torn out..

Thanks,

My hazard "****" is on the side of my steering column...you just pull it out to activate them. If yours is missing it it could prolly be easily replaced by taking off the steering wheel.

Found that ****. It was broken fluch with the steering column and just looked like a screw hole.
Now that I found it, I am going to run a screw in pull tab on it. Thanks again.

The Jeep is a conversion vehicle, done by Glaval, who did the conversion vans. I did yank the VCR and put in the PS2 for a DVD player. Check my build page and you can see pics of it and what it used to look like on the outside before lift.
