I dont have any pics but I seen a few where people 2 strips of wood attached to the roof with holes in it to keep the poles above your head..I fly fish and bass fish a decent bit..I always just throw mine in the cargo area and head out
This is not exactly a cargo rack but the guy that did this did a pretty nice job. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/re...9/#post1157854

here are some of mine. i trimmed out the plastics in the rear and added tons of storage in the fenders. made a platform to store stuff underneath. did the camo head liner myself. added led light strips for my cargo lights and dome light. the rear view mirror is from a mustang. it has dual map lights.

from the factory it already has a double walled roof right there. i used the factory holes that originally held up the super long sun visor clips. u have to use a elbow coax connector there or you wont be able to use your factory mirror location.

haha yes she's a right hooker :P
It was pretty easy to mount it. I pulled the console and sat it upside down and trimmed a few bits and pieces and made a couple of brackets up to mount it. Took me about 30mins or so. Most fiddly bit was running the wiring to it. Seems to be solid enough when installed

Somewhere locked up tight so it doesn't hit me in the head.
If you're in a crash that bad, then you're gonna need more than a flashlight. I'd be looking for my cell phone 1st.

How do you figure? That's where the stock is mounted. If it's secured properly, it's then just as safe as the stock spare tire. or dangerous as you would lke to call it.
hmmm, this is rediculous. Maybe next we'll have a "whos has a bigger flashlight than ......." thread
