BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA, a BOSCH fan? on a jeep forum? classic!

Anyway... that's the first part autozone tries to sell you, it's the same part many jeepers have problems with and if you consult google, or probably even the search tool here, you'll find alot of people saying the exact same thing I just did. He didn't have to say it was bosch, just an educated guess. Maybe it isn't? We'll wait for him to say which one it was. Don't be suprised when it was the one the guy at autozone told him he needed.

alright clown; when he replaces the o2 sensor a 3rd time for no reason and it doesnt solve his problem; are you going to reimburse him? to tell someone their ****s not working cuz you dont like the brand of sensor they used is ignorant as hell. that 'educated guess' of yours probably isnt even based on personal experience; just internet hearsay. not saying bosch is the best, but suggesting replacing it again is just silly.

The first one was..........Bosch. Sorry, felt I needed a dramatic pause there. The second was from the dealership after I read about all of the problems with Bosch, but it was a Denso IIRC. What was OEM for these?

Oh, and whoever said CPS probably going bad, good call! It crapped out on me Saturday.

I am going out of town for a few days. Hopefully I can take some time to look everything over when I get back. Luckily this isn't a DD for me, so I'm in no hurry.

Edit... 2nd sensor was NTK, not Denso.

lol, yeah, bosch is crap. Denso isn't oem but better than bosch, and NTK is factory original equipment. Good call... Glad you found the problem with the crank sensor though. Did it clear everything up?

SO... since I did research this when I did have the problem with the o2 sensor and someone else verified they found the same thing while researching.... does that still make me a "clown"? or is the bosch fan's hopes and dreams now shattered?

yes you are still a clown, because if you had paid attention; the bosch sensor was not causing his problems, so he wouldve wasted time & money listening to you. also, im not a 'bosch fan'; i dont give a **** what brand parts you use, if you replace something with a brand new part and nothing changes, its a pretty safe bet ITS NOT THAT PART.

LMFAO, dude, just get off it. Go hit google like me and the OP both did, to discover that bosch o2 sensors do not agree with our jeeps computers. Simple as that. Yes, if he still had a bosch in it, he still should have replaced it cuz it's a known problem. But he doesn't, he has an NTK. Unless he hasn't replaced the other one yet. This certainly did not prove that "Bosch sensors don't cause problems". It's all good, not like you're putting parts in my jeep.

I have changed O2, CPS, ICV, MAP and still get this issue...I have used Bosch and non bosch on the o2 with no luck, no codes ...when idling it will go into this thing where you hear lous sucking through the air filter like really loud and then it gets softer and quieter...spent alot on sensors and the no codes is frustrating

The camshaft position sensor is located in your distributer. This sensor controls your spark. My buddy just had this same problem, random popping/stumbling. Also check the resistance (ohms) of your coil. Tempature and resistance are closely related and can affect it's output.

well...I disconnected the front o2...the idle does not stumble after a little while....no popping and after looking...it is a bosch...the rear is NGK...but I have no sucking sound with stumbling idle now...so I will replace with another NGK for trial...but there was never a code for the O2 when all of this happened...did get an o2 code for rear one after I saw that the wires ripped out very recently...but all seems good now...PIA when there is no code for something yet it was something that should have originally thrown a code...I appreciate everyones responses...thanks fellas. Although...I need to change the distributor...I noticed play now in the shaft...a little.. but I have another so I will swap for good measure..
