I have searched all over but cannot find a good answer. Is it possible to swap out another OEM keyless entry (say 08 Impala or anything a little newer and not old Jeep) and install it into my 96 Cherokee Sport? My original IR sensor has been out for awhile and it never really worked well in the first place. I just moved and there is a large pull-&-pay yard in town that I thought would be a good place to look for one. Is there any model/year that would have a better RF to swap out? Or would it just be easier to pick up an aftermarket setup.

 

it isnt worth your time in the slightest.

 

I put in an after market Clifford system with remote start, and its sooo worth it. defiantly worth time and money. especially if you live in cold or really hot weather.
