Thumbs up Important U-Bolt question!

ok so monday my trucks going in the shop. I bought a 3inch rough country add a leaf ( not happy about it but whatever ) but i also replaced my leaf springs with brand new crown heavy duty ones. If i do add a leaf what size U-bolts am i going to need???

Same size as before, just with longer threads. They do not make different lengths usually in our Jeep world. The size differences will be in reference to the diameter of the axle tube. So in order to give you an answer in that retrospect you will need to tell us what rear axle you have.

YOU FACTORY U BOLTS MAY WORK BUT YOU CAN ORDER SEVERAL U BOLT KITS FROM VARIOUS VENDORS THAT ARE MADE FOR THE DANA 35 BUT LONGER HERES 2

Most local leaf spring shops will also make you set specific to your desired length for about 50 bucks. Your stock ones will most likely not be long enough, and thats if you can even get those rusted nuts off of there without snapping the bolt or damaging the threads.

I used the autozone ones on my jeep with a 8.25 they had more than long enough. i just matched the old u bolts with the the ones in the box at the store.

The U-bolts for D35 are 2 1/2", C8.25 are 3.0"
