impending long arm upgrade
I have rk arms, ruff stuff stiffeners and artec lca axle brackets. Anything else I should do when I have this tore up that you can think of? Already did tranny and motor mounts. Axle is trussed gusseted and sleeved. Will be ordering new shocks the doetsche techs.

You should be good to go... Should be pretty sweet!
Just my opinion but you should coin up for the Bilsteins over the doeschtechs. The Dtechs are a bit stiff and that added "bumpstop" just eats up travel. They also don't seem to apply any down pressure like the Bilsteins do... just a pure absorber. Just my 2c after running them!

The "8000" prerunners I believe. Whichever ones it is that IRO sells.I thought the same thing when I purchased them over the big RoughCountry2.2s I had (not a bad shock BTW) I personally found that bumpstop to more of a hindrance than anything but to be fair, mine were a tiny bit (about an inch) long. All in all, they are better than normal whitebodies but nowhere near the Bilsteins IMO.

I love my doetsch 8000 shocks. They ride exactly how I wanted it to be and the built in bump stop works if you measure or have the right size shocks, not the shock's fault. Haven't ridden in a lifted jeep with Bilsteins but don't see changing over when I need new ones again.

They are a decent shock- Just not compared to the Bilsteins. They are still in business so people obviously do like them.
I personally would not rely on that tiny bump stop using your shock's piston/mount as support as your only bumpstop... I guess if it works for ya that is awesome. I did not like relying on the shock and its comparatively weak mounting to withstand the impacts that can arise in situations where bumpstops are needed... You are bound to damage the shock/mounting points if you hit it hard enough. Like I said, I personally would not recommend them over a shock like the Bilsteins. They certainly are better than whitebodies and are built pretty tough.
*edit*Anyway you look at it though, that bumpstop does eat up a little bit of travel. I did measure just myself/IRO did not take into account the bumpstop so be sure you do!
