Default Im no expert, but i dont think thats normal.

So I noticed the other day that my rear tires are a little....off. They should be centered (or close to) in the middle of the wheel wells. Mine are not, not even close. The passenger side rear tires is about an inch from rubbing my rear quarter panel, the driver side is about 3-4 inches from the front of the wheel well. So basically my rear axle is crooked. I looked under the truck for signs of shifting at the u-bolts but didnt see anything standing out. since there are no control arms the shocks and u-bolts are the only things holding the axle in place, correct? If it helps my truck is lifted by way of 3in blocks and stock leafs, i know, i bought it this way. New 4.5in leafs are on the way. So, am I right to assume that possibly a u bolt has come a little loose and allowed the rear to shift or should i look elsewhere. Thanks for the help guys.

Sounds like you have it fugured out. If they are the aluminum hollow parts store blocks some times the center pin and hole get bent, broken or wallowed out and let the axle move.

I would jack it up from the body & try to move the axle around by hand! see if you can find any play. It could be a number of things like a bind in the leafs/shackles, worn or wollowed out hangers, or a cracked block. If you cant find any play, & dont notice it while driving I wouldnt worry much considering your new leafs are on there way!

X2 on the alumi. blocks, Ive heard of the center section giving away... danger

Yeah, the blocks werent my idea obviously. I plan to get it up in the air and give er a shake soon. The driver side tire is about 1/2 inch from the front part of the leaf so i wont be driving it much. Ill check out the blocks too.
