I think the 4, 6, 12 hole injector upgrade is a myth
Though I dont have hard evidence I think the bonafide improvement these gimicky "upgrades" provide is total myth. I think people with bad factory injectors go and swap out for these now I'm seeing 12 hole injectors wooooo and see a boost in performance... More power to the people selling em cause everyone buys it hook line and sinker...
As with most bolt on mods, its all in everyone's head... Some are legit, but in this case until I see finite stats proving their performance I'm a non believer.
Even owning 4 hole injectors myself same flow rate as stock. I think my originals were just bad and these replaced them.

I dont think the 4.0 gives a **** about atomization. I've talked to flyin Ryan down in Texas and he has seen the difference on a dyno and the difference doesn't exist.

Duh, They won't help in WOT dyno numbers to any appreciable amount.
That's where you need to take Flyboy Ryan with a grain of salt. He is all about WOT dyno max power. That's not the case with the 4.0L Jeep engine.
The better atomization WILL improve idle quality, smoothness, economy, emissions.
The WOT power will not be appreciably different. No more and certainly no less.

Simple fact...don't care what you think or don't think about it to be honest.

I've owned over 10 XJs and 4 hole injectors make a noticeable difference in throttle response and maintaining highway speed. No more constant downshifting at times when I was on stock gears. Small boost in fuel economy as well. Not a myth.

Like a few people have already said, new, rebuilt, better injectors will give you a smoother idle, acceleration and some people claim better mpg. If you buy injectors off of anyone telling you that you will get more hp and better mpg run because they just want your money.
Ryan tuned my XJ and he told me the same thing, that injectors will not get you more hp and he is right.
If you are using at least 16 year old injectors and want to replace them there really is no reason not to go with four hole injectors. New stock injectors will most likely cost you more than a good set of four hole rebuilt injectors.

The OEMs all went from carburetors, to TBI, to direct port injection, from single squirters to multiple hole squirters. Carburetors make excellent power, some of the fastest drag cars run carbs. I wouldn't want a carburetor on my daily driver.
The OEMs went from single spray injectors to multiple hole injectors. They didn't do it because it's cheaper to manufacture. Must be an improvement to reliability and functionality.
It's one of the 'why replace with stock when you can step it up a bit' modifications. I replaced my stock (235k mile) injectors with a set of refurb'd 4 holes. The 4 holes were cheaper than what I could buy the stockers for at the auto parts store. Jeep runs better. How much of it was from replacing worn out injectors? Who gives a ****? The cost was less than the stockers and they didn't negatively impact the vehicle.

I'm sorry guys this is really such a troll post I'm trying to talk myself into getting 12 holes as opposed to my current 4 holes. Lol what better way than to stir the pot
With literally identical driving habits I just got almost 40 miles more to a tank on ethanol 87 blend as opposed to 91 premium wtf

Lmao I was fighting back laughter on everything I wrote cause I wanted it to sound subtle but triggering 😂😂 I just wonder if there will be an improvement from 4 to 12 like will it be 3 times better? Lol
