Default I lift my xj (rear brake line)

I need a cheap way to extend my brake lines until say when the new 1 gets here the front had plenty of clearance for the 6" lift but not the rear I have a O'rielly's close by I need to rig it

Cut off the existing mount and carefully bend the hardline downwards. If it's too rusty it will break and leak. (this happened to me) You can use some scrap metal to make an extended bracket that frees up a couple more inches of brakeline. If it wasn't so miserable outside right now I'd take a picture for you.

Just go buy a new one for a 96 Dakota, 5.2L, and 4wd. Part number to cross is BH38636. It's like $23 plus tax. Don't be so dang cheap.

X2, There are places where it is best not to cheap out Brakes are one of them !

NEVER BUY USED BRAKE COMPONENTS !

10-4thanks to all I would be lost with out this forum.. Btw I just got my wife a 1996 jeep grand cherokee 2wd 4.0 it just randomly shuts off for about 20 min then fires back up but it'll die outa no where while driving, I could see at a red light but driving anyone got an idea
