So I threw some 31's on the jeep thinking that I might be able to get away with out lifting it but I had the intentions of lifting it. They rubbed of course. So I ended up putting 3 inch lifting blocks under my leafs in the back and I put 3 inch coil spacers in the front. In all of my excitement to have the truck lifted and not rubbing anymore I took it out the fabulous mojave desert and played around. In doing so, on one of my track runs I hit a dip pretty hard and the upper control arm came up and just destroyed the transmission cooler lines between the arm and my oil pan. wtf?! Thats a design flaw If I have ever seen one. I dont think that its related to the lift or the tires but I spend 70 bucks to get it fixed last night and I would like that to never happen again. Anybody know of a fix or maybe a trick to stop this from happening again?

I found mine crushed and didn't even know i did it or how long it had been there. I cut the section out and replaced it with rubber transmission line that was a little longer, double clamped both ends, and the zip tied them up a little higher. Been like that over a year now.

OP: you can only blame yourself as you didn't properly bumpstop. Had you done that, it wouldn't had been smashed.

Yup that XJ's not long for this world.......who ever came up with the block idea should have them shoved up there *&%'s same for 3" coil spacers.
OP get rid of that crap and do the job correctly, if you rush things like this you will end up paying a lot more in the long run.
