Default Hydrogen Hybrid

Has anyone researched or even installed hydrogen generators in their XJ?

There are a couple of guys on the web that are touting 30+ MPG in a test XJ. One guy i saw on YouTube states he gets 32 MPG in a Wrangler.

While I can see the technology may work my questions are.... Are there any long term engine effects and will OBD II diagnostics on 96 and higher XJ's account for the hydrogen coming into the engine?

Thanks for your input.

I did one for a Dodge 360 I had. Had to control the throttle position sensor with an adjustable resistance control inside the truck (kind of like a dimmer). Then I had a crack in the water/solution tank... then tried different mixtures of saline in the solution looking for the correct resistance in the electrolysis cycle. Never did get everything to work correctly so I wound up pitching it all.
I agree with the idea, the technology and the engineering behind the 'sales pitches'. But if they worked so well and efficiently, the car manufacturers would incorporate the technology into the new cars. (taking into account the oil companies' 'hold' over fuel economy)...

So I built a 1-ton jeep for way off-road and now just 'escape' from it all...

A diesel would probably be cheaper.
