im gonna get a hp d30 for my 89 xj. I'm gonna look for one with abs sensor with the 297 u-joint? also if i wanna change the gears to 4.10's do i have the change the carrier? and can i add a lunch box locker if so what one is the best?

 

yes you have to get a 3.73 and up carrier

just about any 95+ hp d30 has the bigger joints it think, you can always buy spicer 760 u-joint's for 50$ (wich should be the joint you put in any ways

im gonna run a 4.5 inch lift with nothing bigger then 33's and a ford 8.8 out back.

 

also can i keep the 3/4 c-clips or should i grind down for full c-clips

 

What rear end do you have now? And 8.25 is fine do 33s and the 29spl fine for 35s. No need to change it unless you're 8.8 has disks and you want disks.
