Default How to tall how big your lift is?

I have a '96 Cherokee it got a lift that it had when I bought it my shocks are about wore out and I need to replace them only problem is I don't know how big the lift is so I don't know what size shocks I need to buy what's the best way to tell how big the lift is. Thanks ahead of time for the help. Also if it helps the lift is a Skyjacker.

Measure from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the flare. It's 17.5" in the front and 17" n the rear stock.

This will only work if there has not been any fender trimming done.

Thanks for all the help I'll try and get some pics of it on here if I can and I'm going to try to measure it first because it is my daily driver so I can really have it down for very long.

So, how can you tell how big your lift is? I know mine is 3" because that's what I got but installed. Okay say I were to get a jeep with unknown parts... how could I tell how many inches the lift was. What I got was measure from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the flare IF infact you know there was no fender trimming done... correct?

I wonder what my 3" measures... I ought to check.
