How to ID a shock?
So today was an interesting day for me here... I needed a piece of tubing and when I went to the metal dumpster I found most of a used rough country lift in the thing as well. I believe it was off a TJ since I found control arms (factory) among the stuff but I don't know for sure. The two front shocks were toast as the person that removed them must have cut them off to be lazy... but the rear two are fine. In fact.. most of the lift is ok with just some normal finish damage due to the road salt here in Germany.
I tried looking on RC's website but can't locate the exact lift and they don't have a search feature to plug in a shock number so I'm hoping someone here can help me idenitfy the shock or tell me what lift it would go with? The coils will get a fresh coat of paint, the shocks will too if they are good for about 4"s of lift. Here's a pick of what I found...
And the measurements on the shock are about 15 1/8th collapsed and 21 1/2 extended center of the eye to eye. Number on the shock is 21034 on the end by the rod and these numbers on the shock body.

I wasn't sure if this would count as a "lift question" so I stuck it here. If you feel it needs to be moved, please do so Mods... Thanks!

No... I forgot to add that I saw the other coils but they were shorter and fatter and of no use to me...at least I'm pretty sure they were from the same deal.?. Of course it could have been a JK maybe...right? All my Jeeps have at least one set of leaf springs so I'm a little unclear about the other/newer models.
Also, if you look in the pic you can see some large, red poly bushings... Not sure what kind of arm these are from but they were in one of the arms that was in the dumpster as well. And I'd guess there were several sets of different vehicles arms in there... some looked the same and some a little different. *shrugs*

Ah.... I get what your saying. Had a brain fart and forgot that the Grand cherks had both leaves and coils depending on the years...lol! Thanks for getting me right. Any ideas on how else I can determine how much lift this was supposed to be for? I thought IDing the shock would give me an idea but that's not getting me very far. Been looking at RCs site and not learning much. Anyone know which manufacturers may list their shocks by specs for each given amount of lift?
