If you're on a budget, check out our vendor section. A member sells Chinese knockoffs for $120 shipped, and they're very nice for the price. I have one myself. If you want to go cheaper, there are a bunch of PVC tutorials around here. If you go that route, I strongly recommend getting a snorkel air ram off eBay, just so it gives it a snorkel look, and not something you threw together. Unless you like that look. Oh, and please cut the hole on the side of your Jeep and don't reroute elsewhere to avoid cutting..

Hold a straw in your mouth.
Go under water.
Don't let straw under water.
Breath.
Snorkel.

PVC pipe or scour eBay for one of those Chinese look a likes. Haven't heard anyone complain about those. Last one I seen was $149 I think.

Do you want a cowl snorkel or a full on above cab snorkel?

A cowl snorkel is really the way to go.

I've thought about that before, but how does that do with snow? And what if water goes up past your hood because you thought it wasn't as deep?

I would rather drown out from it going over my steering wheel than from it going over my roof

Cowl snorkel is super easy .

You need a 3in hole saw. Seal air box completely then drill a 3in hole in one end of it that is towards your master cylinder. Run 3" schedule 20( I think that is what I used. Run it to your cowl. Drill 3" hole in the cowl.

Connect and seal

Job done.

I like the fact it got rid of the stupid air box. I'm tinkering around with a similar design to out on the to offroader , but with a paper filter.

That's a spectre btw.

Even in this hole the cowl snorkel would have been fine.

When the guy ahead of you, checking your path disappears.. swerve around where he used to be!
