Lol I'm assuming your driving around in a lifted Cherokee an your worried about looking redneck? Lmao if mine didn't look redneck I'd be pissed. Maybe it's cuz I'm from Mississippi an redneck hillbilly is the way most people are. If u don't wanna look like a redneck buy a Beamer an call it a day
Just because a vehicle is lifted doesn't mean it looks "redneck" imo.
Took some time and thinking of doing a little cosmetic sheet metal work on the top box so it looks a little better but here a pick more on my build thread Genetic Disposition.

any reason why you would need one running all the way to the roof?
I'd say 90% of the applications where a snorkel would be needed can be satisfied by a cowl snorkel like the one I'm running:

Completely Hidden, 100% Effective. Total Cost = $17

Hole saw/drill bit thing. Found at any hardware store and can use it with almost any drill. Might have to use a die grinder a little. Be sure to use a punch so the center bit wont wonder and go slow.

Haven't done one yet. But the plan is to shape Styrofoam to the shape snorkel we want, wrap in saran wrap to protect it from fiberglass resin. Then spiral wrap with 3in wide fiberglass strip. After glass sets up and hardens pour gas down it to dissolve Styrofoam. All one piece and no joints. Built some RC plane fuselages this way and works pretty good.

Here's mine I used 3' black abs pipe, (2) 3' abs 45 degrees, and (1) 3' abs 90 degree street elbow I think is what it was called had a female on one end, male on other end, as for piecing it together. I then used a 2' or 2.5' electrical junction box were it goes through the fender then back to a 3' flex tube from pepboys to run to stock airbox. With the stock air box I sealed all existing holes and added a 3' connector for flex pipe to attach to. Also got from pepboys. And at top of snorkel I used a 4' dryer vent I think is the size to keep out the rain while driving. All the pipe from lowes and other stuff from pepboys I think I have about $75.00 in it. I used (2) 3' pipe hangers to attach it on fender and a-pillar. Also from lowes. It works great, does its job and I saved a whole lot of money. I think I have some more pictures in my album should be one in there also of were it attached to the stock air box.
) I would buy one right away.

wow that sounds pretty awesome... might have to steal your idea... I was going to buy the arb but dont really care for the price tag
i found a parts jeep for real cheap. got all sorts of goodies, geared and locked hp30 and 8.8, rear tire carrier bumper, roof rack, hd steering, sliders, etc etc.......but it also had a safari snorkel kit. i was thinking in the future of putting a snorkel in so i thought it was a nice added bonus. then i looked at the price of these things!!
i mean $400 for a few pieces of plastic and hose clamps??
now i think i may just sell the snorkel kit and make a cowl intake instead. i paid $800 for the parts jeep, i think i will end up ahead with a set of free built axles and other bits.......
