High lift rear seat mount
I've seen a few guys mount them up to the rear seat using some brackets added to the upper seat brackets.. Anyone have a write up to either make a set or a link to a company that sells them? All the old links I have aren't working anymore.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I saw a video where a guy disassembled the seat & put some bolts through the steel frame of the back rest. It looked like a good bit of work but probably not going anywhere.
I've also heard a 48 in. Hi lift will fit under the back seat with a little massaging. That's the route I'm thinking of doing. I currently use that space for storage but it's really a bunch of junk that I don't really need.
I like the jack out of the eliminates. In my TJ I had it mounted to the cage with exhaust clamps right above the "trunk". It didn't interfere with the top & was inside the Jeep.

This is how I made mine.
Materials:
3/8 x 2 1/2'' bolt
3/8'' fender washers
2 1/2" pipe clamp from my shop
Carriage bolts
Harbor Freight rubber mallet
Stock spare tire retainers
Drill hole in apex of pipe bracket, weld bolt to bracket.
Remove seat back and pull the cover off. Mark then drill for the pipe hanger. Bolt to seat pan with 3/8 fender washers on inside and nylock nuts.
Use hole-saw to cut cores from both ends of rubber mallet and cut disks from core.

Transferring the weight to the seatback could have some ill effects in an accident. If you don't have kids that ride in the back, it's probably fine. It's also kind of a bummer that the proper brackets cost $75. Seems a little excessive for what you get.

To me it would make more sense to mount it as far down to the floor as possible. Less stress on the hardware. But then it would definitely be in the way when you lay the seat down.
I noticed there is a ton of room where the wiper motor resides. Now to find a good way to utilize that wasted space.

I could get you some pics, but I've got bolts with wing nuts that are under the rear seat. The High lift fits under the seat bottom in the cubby area. Keeps it out of the way.

I have mine under the seat. 20 minute project. Hammer the hump down so the jack will fit and seat will latch. Drill two 3/8" holes in the hump (spacing determined by jack), install two 3/8 bolts with fender washers on top and bottom to spread load. Put nuts on that to lock bolts to body making a pair of studs. Then drop jack on new studs and secure with washers and wing nuts. So easy, you shouldn't need a pic.
