Default HID conversion to end all questions

Ive seen quite a few HID questions while browsing the forums and thought i'd throw this in here. DDMtuning.com has H4 housing conversion kit that are similar to the Hella conversions. They don't come with bulbs so you have the option to order their HID kit as well. Everything you need is right here. They have a hi/low beam kit too. Options for 35 or 55 watts. Prices are extremely good and their warranty is great. I'll be installing this kit in my XJ shortly so i'll right a review and post up pics.

heres a link to their H4 conversion. Theres a link on the bottom of the page that will take you to their HID kits too. really easy to navigate.

Both of those are housings garbage anything with a clear, diamond, or crystal lenses do not emit a good light pattern. Also they are not designed for HID's There is a reason everyone does PROJECTOR RETROFITS. Which is because it is the correct way to go about adding HID lights ensuring that you have a good crisp light pattern with no hot spots, glare, An you do not blind everyone with a ****ty scattered pattern like all of the Retarded Ricers .

If you are going to go with HID's Please read this entire page and do it properly :

Problem is, those are halogen housings. Those aren't meant for HID's at all, regardless of who is selling them.

Oh, I know. However, the glare and scatter of the light beam is not too bad with the Rampage H4 conversion. I needed something better than my very dull sealed beams. Even the halogen H4 bulbs that were included were relatively dull (lack of proper current on my old AMC/Renix?) So, to me, this was the best option aside from running a ton of tractor lights, lol.

I went through DDM Tuning to get my HIDs in my Honda a couple years ago, and I gotta say their HID kits are quality products. However, looking at the housings from the link in the original post, I would definitely go through somewhere else for the housings (as said above, anything that is crystal, etc. is no good). If I were to ever want HIDs in my XJ though, DDM would be one of the first places I'd look though

Couldnt agree more, I had some autopals with the diamond cut clear housing...from the second I turned them on the light output was complete garbage, even with my harness and PIAA bulbs it just wasn't good. I got the autopal E-Codes and it is a completely different story, I swear my high beams shine for a mile even in the rain, couldn't be any happier.

Same results here. For less than $100 for the bulbs, housings, and harness. About 45 minutes to install.

1) Harness upgrade
2) Ecodes
3) Higher watt bulbs
4) HID's (if in true projectors)

In that order
