I want to run Jk wheels on my jeep I understand I will need wheel adapters. I need help with the tire size I want to run 33's I just ordered Busch weaker flat fender flares and I will have a 3.5 lift. I want to put the widest tire I can use, 12.50 inchs be to much? With the offset of the jk wheels? Can someone give me tire recommendations? I just don't want to have wide fenders and my tires tucked in. That will look weird.

You will need at least an 8" wide rim I use 10" for my 33x12:50x15's and I suspect the wheels you want to use are only 7", but I could be wrong. On the 8" wheel you will need 4" of BS.

3.75 is the most backspace you can do with a 33x12.50, mine just barely clear the LCAs. Mine are 15x8, and I have 33x12.50s on a 2.5" lift. Trim and bumpstop and keep it low for better stability. Due to clearance with my steering and track bar I only have about 2.5 or 3 inches of uptravel in the front but it flexes plenty with aftermarket LCAs and 10" travel shocks. The wheels are some $50 US Wheel steelies

I'm running 32" 10.50's on 15x8 Mickey Thompson's with, i believe, 3.5" of backspacing if i remember correctly I also put on 1.5" wheel spacers on so that they would be flush with my BW flat flares. Looks pretty good if you ask me!

Thanks for the input. I think I'm just going to purchase different rims. The only reason I wanted the Jk wheels is I see them on craigslist for cheap. I want a 16" rim and the tires I was looking at were the kumbo Road venture MT kl71 as far as 33's go my choices are 285/75 or 315/75 I really like the idea of the 315 on the website they say the 315 is 12.3" wide.
Here's a pic of the tire I want to order tomorrow.
I was looking at getting some pro comp wheels. The backspacing's ranged from 3.65-4.5 so with these wide tires I want to with the 3.65 correct?

I have removed rear sway bar and have aftermarket ft disconnects with adjustable upper and lower control arms, track bar, steering box support, tie rods, Rustys shocks lots of travel, like you I only have about 4" up but a lot of down travel with mine, plus trimmed fender wells.

you could get away with 3" maybe, depending on the tread contact width.
12.5 is the measurement at the widest point, hence why super-swampers need lower backspacing. My duratracs had a 9.5" tread width IIRC.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it or not yet....the less offset you have on the wheels, the more stress you have on the wheel bearings. I wouldn't go any wider than 4.0" back spacing...they worked great for me with a 33x12.50...still had a couple inches before the rubbed the LCA...plus, the less offset, the more trimming...the outside of the tire will grab the fender...they won't tuck as nicely...

I ended up ordering pro comp 7069's they are a 10'' rim back spacing is 3.62. I also ordered 33x12.50x15 tires for them. Does this sound like a good setup?

Basically, the less backspacing your wheels have, the more wear on parts. The more offset your wheels have the more wear on parts.
