Can you switch the radio and heater control position? I would like to put in a cheap flip screen and it would make it a lot easier if the radio was on the bottom. Is it possible? Has anyone done it? Thanks

 

I wanted to do this on my '89, but keep in mind that you would have to measure and drill new holes to mount it on the top, because the radio mount has 4 holes (one at each corner) and the heater controls screw in with only two (one on each side). Other than that, it seemed to me that the wires would all reach. My handbook said that there was a vacuum fitting (I would assume for a vacuum line) on the back of my heater controls, but I found only wires. If you do this, make sure to test fit the radio into the heater control hole BEFORE drilling/installing/wiring, in case anything back there would prohibit the radio from fitting.

That's what I saw with my '89, anyway. Dash is really easy to pull apart, so go see for yourself.
