Default Have a bottom end question

I can't see any arrows on my main caps, so how can I figure out which direction they go? And second question is I have Scat connectiong rods they have a dot on one side does that side face to the front?

This is on a 98 XJ 4.6 stroker build

So you tore it apart without marking anything?
The caps need to be in their original position too...

Not sure what yours looks like, but on my 89 block the caps were numbered. Looks like the cam side would be the bottom of the number. Hard to explain though text ... Like
1 2 3 4 5 6

Cam

on my 2000 block, looks like the caps werent numbered, but the shorter half of the gap casted into the cap was on the non cam side.
