I am building a 4.6l Stroker for my 2000 xj. It's a 94 block and head. Pretty much all the rest is new. I was just curious about whether or not I should replace the harmonic balancer pulley or jus use the old one. Which one should I use? Are the both the same? The 94 and 00?

They should be the same, but you might as well replace it. They're two piece, so when they fail you're gonna have a bad time. I think it's like 45 bucks? I don't remember. Mine went out at around 165k or so on my 93.

I just got a new one. I think it was 55$. Not too bad. I'd rather pay that now than have to deal with it later. Turns out the 94 and the 2000 are the same part. Bonus! Thanks for the info!
