Hardened cross shaft for Aussie Lockers
I'm installing Aussies front and back. I found in several forums where people suggest upgrading the cross shafts to hardened cross shafts. I found the Lock Right Zytanium cross shaft (I couldn't find one made of unobtanium ) and I'm wondering if it will fit the Aussie. Probably a stupid question, but just want to be sure. Thanks.

Pretty sure Aussies come with a hardened shaft so you'll be fine. It's been a while since I ran mine so I could be wrong. Either way if your stock one isn't pitted I'd run it. You'll break the gears before a center shaft.

Aussies don't come with center shafts. I'm pretty sure that Powertrax No-Slips do. Which gears? Are you saying the Aussie would break before the stock cross shaft?

Like stated above, unless yours has some abnormal wear/pitting ect Just re-use it. the stock pin is pretty strong. The Spartan's come with new ones. If the website says the pop-right center pin will work with stock spiders then it should work with any lunchbox locker. the center pin's should all be the same size anyway, as they all have to fit the machined hole in the stock carrier without play...

Yep been running 33's and 34's with my Aussie (stock shaft) in the 8.25 for about 3 years. Just pulled everything apart for a disc brake swap and everthing still looked new. I think it'll be fine
