Here's a video I found on Hack and Tap SYE for the NP231 T case.

Any comments?

Good video, I watched it 2-3 times before I did mine. Kind of nerve racking cutting a piece of drivetrain for the first time. Good to see what to expect. Nicely done

I'm still debating whether I want to do H&T or HD.

it all depends on how hard you plan to abuse it, of course the hd is the way to go, i plan on doing the H&T simply because i dont beat the crap out of it, mine gets driven 1 day sometimes 2 out of the week and rarely need to put in 4wd offroad, but if your doing some heavy rock crawling and on the throttle pretty heavy in 4wd offroad, i would definetly do the HD sye or a s/s sye

Hey cico, thanks for taking time to post the video.

$120 + shipping for Hack n Tap
$180 + shipping for SYE (Jeeperz Creeperz with $10 off)

No brainer .

Here is a video to compare

Yeah, I watched this one too. This is a great video from Advance Adapters. The only problem with the work is that they stop short of showing you how to press out the needle bearings if you have them. I have a '96 XJ, and I'm not sure if I have the needle bearings or not.

AA (HD) is the better SYE, but if I run into those needle bearings I'll have to figure out a shop that can press them out for me. I don't have a bearing press or intend on getting one. Since I have more of a DD at this point, I may just go with the H&T. Still have not decided, but leaning to H&T for ease of install.
