Default Hack n tap or sye

Which is best for the money? I am on a limited budget and am looking to spend as little as possible but also don't wanna spend money on a hack n tap if it's gonna tear up and I'm going to have to spend the money again anyways.

HnT wont tear anything up as long as you didnt screw it up which is the same as an SYE.

Keep in mind you can get a SYE for a 231 from PORC for damn near the cost of an HnT. I'd go HnT for the sheer saving of cash but do a cost analysis for yourself and decide if you want to spend the cash.

Personally I think HnT is pretty much as strong as a SYE but the SYE gives you a chance to inspect your case.

As far as the price diff it is about double to do a full SYE Vs a Hack and Tap. You can do a HNT for about 100 and a SYE for about 200 See below....

I had a Full SYE on my previous rig but see no issues with a HNT for Normal rigs. If your buidling a 6" + on like 37's go for the SYE as you are spending az lot of money and need everything as strong as possible but otherwise I dont think a HNT would be an issue. IMO

I've got the HD iron Rick offroad HnT on my rig with 4.5 lift and 33's and so far so good. I'm happy with it. IIRC it was about $120 shipped?

you could also just take the yoke off a chrysler 8.25 jeep axle and use that for your HnT. Even cheaper option for ya, prolly get one for next to nothing at a pick n pull yard.

PORC SYE is 149. By all means if you find a forum vender who can do it that cheap do it. but I'm going with PORC for mine.

HnT is roughly 99-110$ from most venders. so for me I find SYE is better value.

Some folks shop based on price alone, others look at more than that.
Spend your money anyway you see fit.

I go based on whats Local first, price second. None of the forum venders are local and the money doesnt stay in our economy so if I'm going to be spending outside my local economy I might aswell go for price.

SYE of some sort is going to be better quality than a HnT. I havent seen cheaper than PORC ones.
