I normally look for a deal, but just didn't feel right about cheaping out on headlight/harness.

I contacted www.rallylights.com. They build a harness with US wire and Hella relays.I also got the Hella E-codes. I think this conversion was near the top in driving safety of the things I've done to my Jeep. Outstanding improvement. No problems in 3 years. The guys at rallylights(Susquehanna Motor Sport) are very helpful.

The relays weren't that reliable this week when the temperatures were around 0°F. They wouldn't switch into high until the engine bay had some time to warm up.

Default Need some Help with Harness

Hi everyone - I bought the Putco harness with autopals and some sylvania bulbs did the install pretty easily but now a weird thing is happening. Lights turn on great with the switch but when I turn the hi beams on the headlights turn off. I have a 99 cherokee sport without factory fog lights. Any thoughts? I have checked the fog light relays as others have posted but I don't have either of the relays since I don't have factory fogs. HELP! Thanks.

- Rick

Swap relays and see what happens.

Red face Solved!

Doh - sometimes it is the simplest things. That was it. One of the relays wasn't plugged in all the way. I had thought the relays were left and right not hi and low. Then I got sidetracked by all the fog light discussion. Oh well - all good now. Thanks for bringing me back to basics!! LOL

Congratulations. Great work of double checking things.

Also, thanks for the follow-up.

Funny how the human mind works, isn't it?
